Because of my love of 3-D imagery I am constantly on the look out for new shapes to develop. I regularly create new designs in this Optical Illusion series and enjoy teaching these to my students. The 'light bulb' moment when they can see the illusion jump out of their work is always a great pleasure to me.

I know not everyone loves FPP as much as me, and there are lots of amazing 3-D designs which can be achieved by strip piecing. These do rely on a consistent seam allowance and excellent results can be achieved by relative new-comers to patchwork
