SEMINOLE SENSATION - Ruler/Mat Bag or Cusion Panel

Seminole Bag
SEMINOLE SENSATION: Ruler/Cutting Mat Bag

This strip pieced and cross-cut patchwork technique originated with the First Nation American Seminole people in the early 20th Century. It didn't become possible until the advent of the sewing machine. Once you have grasped the basic idea you will be able to create your own variations

In this class I will show you how to make four or five (depending on time) band designs and how to put these together to make a Mat Bag (to take and A2 mat and 24 inch ruler) or a pair of Cushion Fronts (approximately 20 x 20 inches)

As with all my workshops, each student will receive a full set of instructions with photos and diagrams as a reminder of the day's lessons, so they can complete their chosen project at home

This is a Machine Sewing course. Knowledge of rotary cutting is essential
