This is a One Day Course - Please Bring:
SQUARE and STAR BLOCKS
21 squares cut to 2½ x 2½ inches in as many different fabrics as possible (get your scrap box out and have some fun) I like to pick a colour theme to work to, you might like a more scrappy look.
LINING, POCKET, HANDLES & HIGHLIGHTS
2 fat quarters; I like a good contrast, perhaps you may prefer something more subtle
BATTING - 1 piece; 7 x 25 inches
BIAS BINDING - 1 piece; 1 inch (25mm) x 2 metres
(NB: We have a good range of very reasonably priced 1 inch Bias Binding available at the workshop if you are struggling for colours)
BUTTON - 1 large; a chance to use that single amazing button you have been hoarding and don't know what to do with! The closure loop can be adjusted to suit any size button.
THREADS - A toning thread for piecing blocks, perhaps something fancy for the quilting?
Nothing fancy required! with regular foot for piecing and a walking foot for quilting. Be sure to bring bobbins, foot pedal, accessories and the manual too!
General Sewing Equipment
Pins, scissors, hand sewing needle, soft pencil...
Don't forget your glasses!
NOTE: This is a Machine Sewing class.
Tea and coffee (and chocolate biscuits, of course!) will be provided throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch or eat at the excellent RAVENOUS CAFE
