6 WEEK COURSE: Further Adventures in Improv. Patchwork

Six Sunday Sessions, to encourage your tendencies to improvise, to make things that are totally yours, to explore the joys of cutting and piecing
Bring your sewing machine, sewing tools (scissors, pins, etc.) and your glasses - and fabrics, of course

You should have scraps and stuff from stash, and we suggest you choose at least four fabrics (fat quarters) as a basis, with some contrast, plus your scraps and some of ours..
You will need thread for piecing in a suitable colour

Sunday Afternoons: 1.30 to 5pm

Starting Sunday 22nd October 2017

I will be teaching this class with my friend, Helen Howes, at her well-equipped workshop. Following on from the success of our MODERN SAMPLER QUILT which we ran as a beginner's patchwork course, Helen and I designed this project between us to incorporate a combination of newly designed and modern variations on improvised quilt blocks.

Every week we will be teaching one of five different blocks. These can be put together during the final class to create your own wall hanging or table runner. You can join any number of these classes or complete the whole course. We will be happy to suggest ways in which could use individual blocks to complete a small project.

Details of which block is being taught on which week will be published mid-September.

You will receive printed sheets to remind you how to make the blocks taught during the class. To complete the full project by the end of the six week course will require some 'homework'
